Meet Mark Fuller

Mark Fuller is the owner and outfitter of Wild Montana Anglers. Born and raised in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, he began his love affair with fishing at an early age while watching his grandfather catch trout on the Little River in the Smokey Mountains. While earning his Biology degree with an emphasis in Wildlife Management at Western State Colorado University he began his guiding career in Gunnison, Colorado. Guiding has taken him to Alaska, Colorado, Montana, and Patagonia, Chile in search of the best trout fishing in the world. Always searching for that one river system to not just guide on, but grow old on, he found it in the Flathead Valley. Mark sits on the board of the Fishing Outfitter Association of Montana and is an active member of Trout Unlimited, Back Country Hunters and Anglers, and many other outdoor organizations whose goals are to keep wild, pristine areas intact for future generations. When not guiding, he can be found fishing, exploring, hunting, and hiking with his wife Kimberly, son Finn, and his lab Gillie.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience?

Nope! Trips are for all experience levels. We'll

How many people are on a trip?

Float trips are limited to 2 anglers per boat, but we can accommodate multiple boats on most stretches of the river if you have more people in your party. This is to avoid overcrowding and ensure everyone gets their shot at fish.

What if fishing is slow?

We focus on good decisions, instruction, and making the most of your time. It's natural that wild fishing varies day to day, but be assured that you'll have an incredible day on the water with our guides regardless of the number of fish in your net.

What if weather changes?

We fish rain/snow/shine unless it’s unsafe. If the weather is deemed unsafe and we need to cancel, refunds will be issued promptly.

What’s the deposit / cancellation policy?

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to hold the reservation. Deposits for canceled guide trips will be refunded minus a $25 fee with a 30 day or more notice. Cancellations within 30 days will forfeit all deposits. No-shows will result in full payment of trips.

Within 72 hours, purchases cannot be refunded. Schedule changes within 72 hours of a trip with a requested guide will be treated as a cancellation unless the requested guide is willing and available to accommodate a schedule change.

Refunds or credits will not be issued due to inclement weather or undesirable fishing conditions, unless deemed unsafe by the scheduled guide. Trips cancelled by guide or or mutual guide/client decision due to unsafe conditions or uncontrollable circumstances will be considered on a case by case basis for a refund decision. We reserve the right to make refund decisions on a case by case basis.

What if the river is "un-fishable"?

If your desired river is unavailable to fish due to poor conditions, we will discuss and recommend another option that is fishing well.

Rest assured, we will make sure you have the best time in Montana possible.
